6 Black-Owned Food & Drink Businesses in the UK to consider before your usual go-to

Although 2020 has been a roller coaster of a year, with more tragedy and devastation than anything any of us have faced before, it's time to learn from the mistakes we've been making and reconstruct our attitudes to make for a more peaceful, intelligent planet.

Although this post is focused on black-owned businesses that DESERVE the support that other businesses have been thriving off, I'd like to start by saying the horror that we've endured in 2020 cannot be for nothing. We cannot go back to treating the planet along with certain members of society with the disrespect that it's faced for far too long. We cannot retreat back to comfort just because the problem isn't directly affecting us - if activists of the past had the same regressive attitude then the world we live in today would be significantly underdeveloped.

No real change comes easy, but you can start by not letting 2020 and all that's happened be a 'phase' - we cannot go back to trashing the planet, and we cannot go back to being ignorant when it comes to racism. Baring all of the above in mind, and to move things to a lighter tone, we have an opportunity to do some real good! To help out as much as we can, and while the whole world is on standby with lockdown, we have the time and energy to put into making a difference!

So without further ado, here is a list of amazing black-owned food and drink businesses that are worth your time, money, and support.
